27 years have passed since the destroying earthquake of 1988, but still the following generations not only do not forget, but also gain lessons from it.
Today, by the initiative of the Department of First Medical Aid, Emergency Situations and Civil Protection and the lecturer Perch Karapetyan, the students of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics and the Faculty of Primary Education watched a documentary about the earthquake of 7 December which was followed by a practical lesson.
On this occasion, the future pedagogues demonstrated first medical aid needed after an earthquake happens; the demonstration included cessation of bleeding, putting on bandages, artificial breathing and other rescue activities.
In his interview to the old.aspu.am the Head of the Department Hakob Grigoryan once again emphasized the necessity to orient in emergency situations highlighting the fact that our country is situated in such a seismic area that disasters are inevitable.
In fact, the importance of awareness raising is reflected in a joint training for the teaching professorial team organized by the University and the UNICEF, which included 150 participants.
