KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Today, the graduates of the Pedagogical University of the academic year 2015-2016 received their graduate diplomas, mutual congratulations, high mood, and words of acknowledgements.

During this academic year, final graduate diplomas of the Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan in the BA full-time and distant-learning educational systems were granted to 2805 graduate students /16 from non- public educational institutions/ 734 of which were in MA

Degree /full-time 638, distant –learning 96/, and 2054 were in the BA degree /full-time 1309, distant-learning 745/, while 206 BA and 94 MA students had Excellent academic progress.

The Presidents of Committees, Deans and Heads of Chairs awarded the graduates with diplomas whishing them personal achievements, professional success in favour of the development of the country and sphere of pedagogy.

In the welcome and acknowledgement speech they advised to the graduates of the BA Degree to continue their education in the postgraduate studies as well assuring that the achieved capacities would be strengthened in that case, professional skills would be deepened recording new scientific achievements in pedagogy and other spheres.

A few of the faculties presented interesting initiatives; at the Faculty of Special Education and Faculty of Education Psychology and Sociology they demonstrated to the students the summing visual presentations, while the graduates of the Faculty of Primary Education received best wishes together with the diplomas on colourful papers similar to the colourful year of their studies.

In his turn the RA Deputy-Minister of ES Manuk Mkrtchyan joined the congratulations and best wishes of the day urging the future pedagogues to love children.

What is more, old.aspu.am had a conversation with the Vice –Rector of Academic Processes Mher Melick-Bakhshyan regarding the results of the final attestation examinations of 2015-2016 academic year. Speaking about the positive sides of the examination process he highlighted that the new procedure of electronic examination had justified the expectations, the graduates demonstrated high level of professional knowledge and the majority of postgraduate thesis were of scientific nature.

The Vice –Rector assured that in the upcoming academic year the recommendations and remarks of the Chairmen of Committees would be discussed at Faculty and Chair sessions and measures would be taken to eliminate the noticed drawbacks.

“This phase of life will be dramatic, memorable and unforgettable for every graduate. We hope that the achieved knowledge, professional skills and capacities will serve in the extremely responsible path of professional activities. The pedagogues were, are and will be country’s most important specialists who teach and educate a whole nation”, the Vice –Rector Mher Melick-Bakhshyan mentioned in his congratulation speech.
Several of the 2800 graduates of the Pedagogical University passed the acknowledgement words of their fellow-students and themselves for equipping them with knowledge, personal and professional qualities. They promised to keep strong relations with the native educational centre, which, staying faithful to its student-centred policy, supports the graduates in solving employment and other issues.
