The Chair of Art History, Theory and Culturology at the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) hosted the presentation of the 8th anthology of student articles under the title “Cultural Events”.
The students, who are the authors of the articles, gave speeches in which they shared their analyses, thematic observations and main deductions.
The anthology features 18 articles, which stand out in terms of topics, starting from the study of Armenian spiritual and material culture and ending with modern developments in art, issues of cultural policy, museum work and the current trends in the perception of art.
The ”Cultural Events” series serves as a valuable platform to engage students in the academic field. As the initiators note, the project not only helps promote their research and analytical abilities, but is also becoming their first experience in science and education and a major step in the academic world, providing the students with the opportunity to shape critical thinking, develop academic language and be young researchers.
The founding editor of the project is Associate Professor of the Chair of Art History, Theory and Culturology Satenik Melikyan, who is able to spark interest in joining the initiative, courageously formulating and presenting own academic interests through her consistency, professional guidance and by discovering the creative potential of students.
