KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

A Meeting with the AuthorAn event entitled “A Meeting with the Author” was organized at ASPU upon the initiative of the Chair of Art History, Theory and Culturology of the Faculty of Art Education together with students.

The guest of the Faculty was Doctor of Philology, Professor Sergey Aghajanyan, who presented his work “Midday.”

The new dean of the Faculty of Art Education, Ara Hakobyan, said present-day linguists and culturologists need intellectuals, like Sergey Aghajanyan.

“The stories in his book reflect the spirit of Armenians, the reality around us. The titles are not are not chosen randomly either. They reflect the content of the stories, they are very expressive and profound," he said.

The students first discussed the story entitled “I am Judas” and then addressed their questions to the author.
Addressing the audience, Sergey Aghajanyan said, ‘Whatever I write, should reach readers and speak to them.’ The students confessed in their turn that they learn to think thanks to the writer.
