“The theory is dry, my friend, but the tree of life is flourishing… Your bright smiles show that you realize that you have achieved something in these years,” Aghvan Hovsepyan, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia who also chairs a qualifying examination committee at the ASPU, said during a diploma awards ceremony at the Faculty of History and Law.
Mr. Hovsepyan congratulated the graduates, wished them every success in future and urged them to use the knowledge and skills they acquired at the University for their Homeland and its people.
Over 118 BA students (23 of them received Diploma with Honours) and 56 MA students (12 of them received Diploma with Honours) completed a full-time course at the Pedagogical University. Also, 96 BA students completed a distance-learning course at the University. ASPU Rector Ruben Mirzakhanyan congratulated them, wishing good luck in their future endeavours. He assured everyone that the University would do everything in its future activities for the graduates to be proud of their Alma Mater. “Mutual efforts are needed to achieve success. The future of our nation depends on that success. Graduates of the Pedagogical University form our future school the future of which is the guarantee of our nation’s success,” he said.
The Dean of the Faculty of History and Law joined the congratulations and wishes said on the occasion. He added that the diploma showed that the graduates had developed a number of skills during their studies. “Use your knowledge and skills not only for personal purposes but also for your Homeland and its people.”
The graduates, in turn, thanked the University administration for organizing unbiased and independent examinations. They also thanked the academic staff of the University for transferring their knowledge and seeding human qualities in them. They promised to be unbiased and impartial in the field of their future activities and keep the good name and reputation of their Alma Mater.
