Education
In 1985 Ms. Hovhannissyan had an internship in Moscow in the Russian University of Theatre Arts (GITIS).
While studying at school she was attending violin classes at the music college after R.Melikyan and taking acting classes at «Armenfilm» film studio under the supervision of Dmitri Kesayants.
In 1975 she graduated from the Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Fine Arts, Department of Directing.

In 2007 she got a PhD degree.
Work Experience
From 1975 to 1997 she was teaching at the Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Fine Arts, Department of Directing.
In 1997 she tought at the Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovian (ASPU), faculty of culture, directing department.
From 2007 to 2012 she was acting as a head of «TV Direction, TV Journalism, Operatorship and Art Photography» department.
Since 1975 she worked at the Yerevan Youth Experimental Theatre, Armenian TV and Academic Theatre after G.Sundukyan as a stage director.

«The best director» award after Metaksia Simonyan - from the Ministry of Culture of RA for the A. Ayvazyan «Arlez» performance.
In 2015 she directed the «Danteakan-15» performance based on H. Shiraz «Hayots Danteakan» poem. That performance was dedicated to the Centennial of Armenian Genocide and was shown on many stages in Armenia and abroad. Being a diploma work of a TV Directing course, «Danteakan-15» received number of awards.
