The Pedagogical University welcomed the Professor of the South Federal University of Rostov-on-Don Mr. Alexander Bermus.
In the course of the visit the Russian Professor had meetings with the Head of the ASPU Department of International Relations Marianna Harutyunyan, got familiarized with the on-going projects of the University, the activities of the Department, etc.
During the meeting with the faculty on the Chair of Pedagogy the cooperation edges and possible fields between the ASPU and the South Federal University of Rostov were defined. In particular, a number of questions with regards to development tendencies of modern pedagogy, as well as organising a summer school for the PhD students and young scientists were discussed.
In addition, within the scope of cooperation, webinars, lecturers’ and students’ exchange projects, joint scientific activities are also planned.
Professor Alexander Bermus delivered a report for the teaching team and the students on the topic of “Modern Development Trends of Educational Sciences” and presented his training course on “Innovation Processes of Education”.
By highlighting the importance of innovations in educational processes, Professor Alexander Bermus spoke about the necessity of combining innovative and traditional processes.
“Traditional is what is passed over through generations; we need to be able to skillfully combine it with the innovations”, added Professor Bermus.
In addition, the Professor shared with the content of two models and three modules of his training course, including the questions of what innovation is, types of innovation, which Joseph Schumpeter had been speaking of.
By thoroughly presenting his MA training material, the Professor tried to identify the “pedagogical fact”, which the theory is based on and the innovation that lies on historical events.
