A photography exhibition entitled “Keeping Track of the Beauty…” opened at the ASPU on Friday. The exhibition is dedicated to the arrival of spring and revival of nature. The photos were taken by Anna Hakhumyan, Deputy Head of the ASPU International Cooperation Unit, who took interest in photography at the age of 6. The exhibition included about 36 photos taken by the amateur photographer in the past two years. The author combined the photos in six subcategories - "My Land", "My Friends through My Eyes", "While Walking", "Under the Italian Sun" and "Montenegro."
“At some phase of my life I noticed my love for the camera when I understood that I had some accumulated feelings and emotions which I wanted to express through photos. It was in the United States in 2010 that I photographed flowers for the first time,” Anna Hakhumyan said.
This is the author’s second solo exhibition of photos. Anna Hakhumyan says she loves all the photos displayed at the exhibition but she especially singles out one of them – “The Girl in While Dress.” She says she experiences positive and pleasant feelings every time she looks at the photo.
“I like it when my photos awaken smile and positive emotions among people. That is the most important thing for me. Photography is a way of expressing my feelings. Every photo is a story, destiny for me… I like to photograph life with all its hustle and bustle. I do not have photos with posed appearances, all are candid photographs,” Anna Hakhumyan added.
The author is going to open an exhibition of all her photos for a broader audience in the near future.
