KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

President Serzh Sargsyan bestowed state awards and honorary titles on a group of individuals on the occasion of Republic Day.

Professor Armen Elbakyan, Head of the ASPU Chair of Directing and Artistic Director of the Gabriel Sundukyan State Academic Theatre, was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Republic of Armenia for his contribution to art.

“It is pleasant to see one's work appreciated. Every person in this world needs love, affection and evaluation,” Mr Elbakyan said adding that the most important thing is one’s work, his goal and the morality with which he transfers his ideas and emotions to the audience.

On the occasion of Republic Day, a group of individual received state awards and honorary titles [at the Presidential Palace] for their contribution to science, education, healthcare, economy, arts, culture and sports, as well as efficient work, patriotism, boundless dedication, deepening and expansion of Armenia-Diaspora relations.
