On July 6, ASPU hosted a delegation of Stavropol State Pedagogical University which was composed of Acting Rector, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovations Maxim Kuleshin, and Professor, Project Manager Alexander Fokin.
On the sidelines of the visit, the Russian colleagues had a working meeting with ASPU Vice-Rector for Educational and Academic Affairs Mariam Ispiryan and Head of the Chair of Russian Language and its Teaching Methods Naira Dalyan.
The sides discussed establishment and development of centers of open education in Russian Language in Armenia (an initiative by Russia’s Ministry of Enlightenment), which was implemented within the framework of cooperation between the two universities.
Acting Rector of the Stavropol State Pedagogical University, Maxim Kuleshin, expressed hope that the Armenian colleagues will help implement a number of provisions of the program.
He presented details regarding the analysis of educational, methodical and personnel activity of the centers of open education in the Russian Language , development of projects for intensive Russian language courses, provision of educational advice and development of a roadmap.
The parties also discussed organization and implementation of training courses for employees of these centers in Armenia, testing of about 100 students [in Russian language], results of the “The Best Russian Language Teacher in Armenia 2023” competition, "Summer School" program, as well as cooperation-related issues in education.
Vice-Rector Mariam Ispiryan reiterated their willingness to implement the project together with the Russian side and said they will do their best to implement other projects as well.
She is sure that both sides will be satisfied with the results and the outcome will be effective for the two educational institutions.
