KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

ASPU recently hosted Varvara Sidorova, PhD in Psychology, Professor at the Department of Individual and Group Psychotherapy of the Faculty of Psychological Counseling, Moscow State University of Psychology and Education.

In the International Cooperation Unit, the guest had a meeting with Gohar Hovyan, Dean of the Faculty of Special and Inclusive Education, and a group of Faculty representatives.

The special education professionals from Armenia and Russia discussed cooperation opportunities between the two universities in question, particularly lectures, trainings and other means of exchange of experience aimed at developing art therapy with the participation of MA students and professors.

During the meeting, Varvara Sidorova also got acquainted with the activity of the Faculty of Special and Inclusive Education. She was pleasantly surprised to know that "Art Therapy" is taught at ASPU as a separate master's degree program.

At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached to meet again in the near future to discuss practical steps to boost cooperation.
