Its already the second time the lecturers and MA students of the Faculty of Special Education Chair of Logopaedics and Rehabilitation Therapy are paying a visit to the University’s secondary school N57 on the International Day for Protection of Children.
In the whole process of the initiative children’s classical music could be heard, during which the children were engaged in drawing, building figures of clay and other material, applied several techniques of art-therapy.
With the help of lecturers Alvina Hayrapetyan, Sosei Khachibekyan and future art-therapists a real creative environment was established at schools, which, according to the students’ parents, was an interesting way to finalize the academic year.
The participants and the invited guests of the event prepared mutual surprises; the children presented their performances to the guests, afterwards, by the initiatives of the lecturers and the students, an exhibition of the children’s works was organized right on the spot. Moreover, their excitement was multiplied when they found out that those works already belonged to them.
“During the art-therapeutic event the participating children enjoyed the pleasure of creative processes and due to the latter covered a very important path of self-identification”, the lecturers mentioned in their interviews to the old.aspu.am adding that the given initiative was a very important event multiplying the children’s celebration; they got related to the beautiful, discovered their own capacities and skills in the creation thereof.
The lecturers in their turn expressed willingness and readiness for the initiative to be of continuous nature.
