Art in the Works of Future Pedagogues

Exhibitions of handmade works have become traditional within the scope of different courses at the Pedagogical University.

Today, the 4th year distant-learning students of the Faculty of Education Psychology and Sociology presented more than 25 works prepared of natural material during the Art-Therapy and Fine –Arts classes; individual approaches of future psychologist –pedagogues have been manifested therein.

The course leader Zhanna Khachatryan highly praises the diligence and initiative mind and expresses hope to see more works with a higher quality.

“Creation of each work will improve the recovery process of various mental issues of children, development of fine motor movements, calming the nervous system or any other solution”, Zhanna Khachatryan mentioned during her interview to the old.aspu.am adding that the exhibition aimed at acquisition and strengthening professional and creative features.

At the exhibition the student Susanna Minasyan presented the sweet cake that she had made herself which in her opinion also had an art-therapeutic meaning.

“Making a cake is a process of aesthetic pleasure, when you put in your hand-made efforts and achieve positive outcomes, you get satisfied and relaxed.”

In addition to the excitement, Susanna Minasyan at the same time feels sorry that distant-learning education does not give an opportunity to introduce the whole creative potential and desire; when putting in certain soul and diligence in each work creative manifestation can be found within any situation, can’t it.

According to students each and every of them did not spare efforts and energy to make their presentations unique; moreover, they are sure that art therapy that literally means recovery through art formulates creative approach towards life, new visible horizons for the achievement of objectives.

The event, held with the support of the ASPU Centre of Culture, took place by the accompaniment of the University’s violin ensemble.
