Ashot Ajamoghlayn Passed Away

The Armenian State Pedagogical University had a great loss; the long-time lecturer of the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geography Ashot Ajamoghlyan passed away.

The Candidate of Pedagogy, Associate Professor Ashot Ajamoghlyan was born in Artik on 18 February 1960; in only a few days he would turn 56.

He graduated from the Armenian State Pedagogical Institute after Kh.Abovyan, Faculty of Geography, Department of Geography; in 1999 he defended his dissertation on the subject “Environmental and Pedagogical Conditions of High-School Students” and was awarded the academic title of a Candidate of Pedagogy.

Ashot Ajamoghlyan had been working at the Pedagogical University since 2002. From 2008-2015 he was the Head of the Chair of Geography and its Teaching Methods; in 2015 he was appointed as the Associate Professor of the given Chair.

Ashot Ajamoghlyan had a great contribution in the preparation of pedagogy specialists; he had highly professional qualities with which he would attract students.

In addition, he had a comprehensive scope of interests which included environmental education and general upbringing, consumption of natural resources and other environmental issues, together with the Armenian studies and tourism.

Ashot Ajamoghlyan had 33 years of teaching experience; he was the author of 65 scientific-methodological articles, 2 academic manuals, and 3 monographs.
