KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

On May 4, representatives of Armenian intelligentsia and scientific circles congratulated Radik Martirosyan, President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, on his 80th birthday during an event held at the NAS.

I warmly congratulate you on your wonderful anniversary - 80th birthday. I can say with confidence that every day of your life is turned into a selfless dedication to science and education. Your biography is directly connected with the activity of Armenia's "mother university" – Yerevan State University, Byurakan Observatory, Institute of Radiophysics and Electronics and fruitful history and progress of the country’s scientific activity.

As a full-fledged member of international and European universities councils and President of Armenian State Universities Rectors Council, you have made an invaluable contribution to the integration of Armenia’s scientific-education sector into international structures and implemented various scientific, cultural and education programmes.

Your 80th anniversary is a beautiful occasion to evaluate the path you have passed, look through the rich and interesting pages of you biography and feel proud of your outstanding achievements and success.

I congratulate you once again and wish you achievements, happiness and well-being for the sake of new achievements in the scientific sphere of our motherland.
