KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

The delegation of the Pedagogical University with the Head of the Chair of Design and Decorative Applied Art, Professor Anush Yeghiazaryan, the Head of the Chair of Russian Language, Professor Inna Sarkisyan, the Head of the Centre of Information Technologies Davit Sargsyan under the leadership of the University’s Rector Rouben Mirzakhanyan had a business trip to the Moscow State Pedagogical University from 22-27 September.

During the first meeting Russian colleagues introduced the main areas of the University activities, the innovative teaching methods of pedagogy and different courses, the strategic directions of operations and new teaching technologies.

In his turn, Rouben Mirzakhanyan delivered his lecture on the topic of “Educational System in Armenia; past, present and future” in the course of the meeting; the lecture interested all those present. Likewise, Rouben Mirzakhanyan met the MSPU Rector Alexey Semyonov, with whom he discussed actual issues of cooperation between the two Universities, their new plans and new projects’ outlines.

Afterwards, the ASPU delegates had a meeting with the staff of the University’s relevant institutes. Professor Anush Yeghiazaryan introduced her Russian colleagues with works and areas of activities of the Faculty of Art Education, Chair of Design and Decorative Applied Art, as well as the development perspectives of Applied Art.

Besides, Anush Yeghiazaryan got acquainted with the creative works and students’ design pieces of the Art Institute, and studied the primary directions of the Institute’s activities. The latter also introduced the peculiarities of Armenian decorative applied art together with its new directions.
In their turn the Russian colleagues shared with their experience and introduced visibility material on computer technologies. Later on Anush Yeghiazaryan presented a report about the Armenian tapestry.

՛The ASPU Professor Anush Yeghiazaryan received the title of Honorary Professor from the Moscow State Pedagogical University Institute of Art.
Likewise, on this occasion, the main cooperation areas between the MSPU Institute of Art and the ASPU Faculty of Art Education Chair of Design and Decorative Applied Art were defined.

During the business visit the Head of the ASPU Chair of Russian Language Inna Sarkisyan met the teaching – professorial staff of the Institute of Philology, familiarized them with the situation and position of Russian language at the ASPU and in the RA, in whole; she especially outlined the scope of the issues related to the necessity of development of imagology and of launching the Russian language practicing all over the world, as well as introduced the main issues at the ASPU Chair of Russian Language, got familiarised with the programmes, educational and methodological manuals at the Institute.

Moreover, questions about the possible employment of Russian specialists at the ASPU Faculty of Foreign Languages, Chair of Russian Language, and trainings of Armenian colleagues were also discussed at the meeting.

Similarly, the topic of the importance of interactive communication methods of students of both universities and participation of students with insufficient knowledge of Russian language in both summer and winter schools contributing to the process of overcoming the language barriers were also discussed.

In their turn the staff of the Moscow State Pedagogical University Chair of Russian Language highlighted the main subjects of lecturing and master classes that would be presented within the scope of a mutual visit to Armenia in near future.
In addition, the participants of the meetings outlined other issues for discussions related to the cooperation between the MSPU Institute of Philology and the ASPU Faculty of Foreign Languages.

Within the framework of the visit the delegation of the Pedagogical University attended the lecture delivered by the Rector of the Moscow State Pedagogical University, Professor Alexey Semyonov.

Furthermore, the Head of the Information Centre Davit Sargsyan had a business meeting where he got familiarised with LAN and wireless means of communication together with his Russian colleagues, discussed their availability and management.

Moreover, during the meeting they discussed the cooperation edges through exchange of experience in the sphere of programming, building internal computer network, discussing installation of network services, the existing services and server system security issues.
As well as, other actual topics were also discussed especially regarding the application of IT tools in the learning process, and automatization.

By the end of the meeting the Rectors of both Universities summarised the results of the visit of the Armenian delegation; an last but not least, round table discussions were arranged at the given Institutes outlining numerous plans for further cooperation with both the Moscow State Pedagogical University and the Institutes of Philology and Art.
