KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Graduate of the Fashion Design Department of the Faculty of Art Education at the Armenian State Pedagogical University Lilit Karapetyan has been declared the winner of the Pepsi x Yerevan Fashion Week competition.

From interesting ideas to bold solutions — the participating designers presented innovations through sketches, with special emphasis on Pepsi. Out of the 50 applicants, the jury selected the top 39, who made it to the next stage.

The precondition to win the competition was to best show the daring, unique and symbolic style of Pepsi, presenting it through fashion, creativity and innovation.

Lilit Karapetyan’s collection was entirely inspired by the path that Pepsi has taken throughout the years and the company’s history. Every line, figure and color symbolized the difficult path full of obstacles, the aspiration for freedom and always keeping up with the times. “This is a story about young people’s endless searches and their aspiration to express themselves and be innovative,” the creator noted.

As a matter of fact, the collection is entirely composed of homogenous elements — like Pepsi, this collection also doesn’t recognize gender and nationality.
