On October 25, ASPU Faculty of History and Social Sciences hosted a Hungarian delegation led by Dr. Bálint Kovács, who also heads the Chair of Armenology (Armenian Studies) at Pázmány Péter Catholic University (PPCU), and lecturers Andrej Backoj and Agnès Revicki.
The Hungarian delegates had a working meeting with Marianna Harutyunyan, Acting Vice-Rector for Personnel and International Cooperation. The parties discussed the process of the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility and outlined opportunities and prospects for further cooperation.
The Hungarian Armenologist also delivered a lecture for future historians which was entitled “The Armenian Community in Transylvania: Past and Present.”
The Head of the Chair of Armenology (Armenian Studies) at PPCU also spoke about his love for the Armenian language and Armenia, his choice of Armenology as the field of study, the peculiarities of the educational system in Hungary, exchange programmes with ASPU, their effectiveness and prospects.
Bálint Kovács expressed hope that many of ASPU students will overcome the language barrier and continue their studies, including in the field of science, at Pazman University.
While in Armenia, Andrej Backoj will also deliver a public lecture.
