KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

The discussion-meetings that the professors of the Chair of Mathematics and its Teaching Methods at the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) hold with the teaching staffs and pupils of general educations schools are conventional and are aimed at improving the quality of education.

A few days ago, Associate Professor of the Chair of Mathematics and its Teaching Methods, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Varazdat Vardazaryan was hosted at High School N 139 named after Karen Demirtchyan at the invitation of the teaching staff of the educational institution.

In his open lecture for the teachers and pupils, Varazdat Vardazaryan talked about the changes made in the mathematics course for high schools, particularly the changes with regard to elements of mathematical statistics and the theory of probabilities.

The lecture was followed by a discussion during which Varazdat Vardazaryan answered the questions of the teachers’ and pupils’ concern.
