ASPU hosts representatives of Moscow State University of Psychology and Education

On May 20, ASPU hosted representatives of the Moscow State University of Psychology and Education (MGPPU) - Evgeniy Jose, Vice-President of the Institute of Experimental Psychology, Shushanik Usubian, Head of the Department for Work with Foreign Students, and Anna Zikeeva.

During the meeting with Marianna Harutyunyan, ASPU Vice-rector for Personnel and International Cooperation, the parties stressed the need to deepen cooperation between the two universities in question and take it to a new stage.

The ASPU official assured the guests that MGPPU has a special place among ASPU partners which is also evidenced by opinions and impressions of ASPU students about the Russian university.

Marianna Harutyunyan advised using the presented projects in practice, particularly in joint work with the Faculty of Educational Psychology and Sociology.

The vice-rector expressed hope that the international "Summer Schools" which also featured MGPPU students, will resume in the near future.

By the way, Shushanik Usubian, Head of the Department for Work with Foreign Students, attended the same programme while during the years of study.Today, as a representative of the ASPU partner university, she thinks it is time to restore partnership: the realm of joint interests requires that.

The vice-president of the Institute of Experimental Psychology presented MGPPU’s scientific direction, stressing that the University trains and prepares a generation of serious research psychologists.

Later on, the parties discussed similarities and interests of the two universities, possibilities and opportunities for adapting professional programmes, and involvement of students in different programmes.

The MGPPU representatives also visited the Faculty of Educational Psychology and Sociology, met with lecturers and students, presented the history, mission, structure, faculties and institutes of the first Russian university with orientation to psychology.

The parties also reached an agreement on deepening cooperation and organizing exchange of experience n the field of psychology.
