ASPU Lecturer Mnatsakan Virabyan dies at 75

Mnatsakan Virabyan, a lecturer of the Chair of Cinematography, Art Photography and Social-Cultural Activity at ASPU, has died in an accident. The master of photography celebrated his 75th birthday this year.

From 1966 to 1970, Mnatsakan Virabyan studied at the Faculty of Philology of Yerevan State University. Since 2000, he lectured at the Faculty of Culture at ASPU.

For almost two decades, Mnatsakan Virabyan imparted photography skills to future cameramen and photographers. He participated in numerous photo exhibitions and photo contests.

“Mnatsakan Virabyan was not only a good photographer and educator, but also a decent person. His unexpected death is a heavy loss for his colleagues and students," Ruben Yerzinkyan, Head of the Chair of Cinematography, Art Photography and Social-Cultural Activity, said in a conversation with old.aspu.am.
The bright memory of the distinguished educator and photographer will forever remain in the hearts of his colleagues and students.

Mnatsakan Virabyan’s memorial service will be held in the “LyuAr” funeral hall (bld. 18, Silikian old highway) on November 27, and the funeral service will be held from the the same place on November 28.
