Ashot Smbatyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Hungary, recently had a meeting with Dr. Géza Kuminetz, Rector of Pázmány Péter Catholic University (PPCU), one of the leading universities in Budapest, Hungary.
The sides discussed the ongoing collaboration between Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) and PPCU, the effective activity of the Department of Armenology (Armenian Studies) which opened in PPCU several years ago.
The possibility of deepening cooperation and implementing joint programs between the two universities under question was also discussed during the meeting.
In 2016, Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan and Pázmány Péter Catholic University of Budapest signed a cooperation agreement, which aimed to promote cooperation and academic exchange between the universities. The Department of Armenian Studies was opened in PPCU within the framework of the agreement.
In the frames of cooperation, the sides have implemented a number of educational programs and carried out mutual visits.
