KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Recently, Professor Aelita Dolukhanyan, Head of the Chair of Ancient and Medieval Armenian Literature and its Teaching Methods at Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU), Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of the Republic of Armenia, has been granted the 2024 award of the Writers' Union of Armenia.

The annual awards of the Writers' Union of Armenia are given to authors who publish interesting and valuable books.

This year, there were 15 award winners. Professor Dolukhanyan was awarded the Hovhannes Tumanyan Prize. “I am extremely happy to receive the award. We have always had books by Tumanyan in our house. I was still 3 years old when my parents read [his writings] to me,” said the Professor.
