KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Associate Professor Edgar Hovhannisyan, Dean of the Faculty of History at Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU), and Professor Khachatur Stepanyan, Head of the Chair of the World History and its Teaching Methods at ASPU, were in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens from 22 to 26 April.

Within the framework of the visit, the ASPU professors gave lectures at the Faculty of Turkish Studies.

Edgar Hovhannisyan spoke about the Armenian Diaspora, homeland-diaspora relations and Diaspora Studies, while Khachatur Stepanyan focused on the relations between Armenia and Turkey in 1918-1920, Turkey's policy in the South Caucasus and Armenia’s foreign policy.

The lectures aroused interest among the Greek students. The speeches were followed by a Q&A session.

During the visit, the parties agreed to expand and strengthen cooperation between ASPU and National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in the scientific and educational spheres.
