Last week, a group of professors of the Faculty of Special and Inclusive Education paid a working visit to the University of Pardubice, the Czech Republic.
During the visit, the sides carried out joint activity aimed at improving the field of inclusive education, reviewed educational programs, discussed research works and topics and had visits on different levels.
As a result of cooperation between the two educational structures in question, comparative analysis of inclusive education in Armenia and the Czech Republic is ready for publication. It provides a summary of legislation and policies for inclusive education in Armenia and the Czech Republic, characteristics of practice and experience of leading specialists.
Also, an agreement was reached regarding the next stage of cooperation. In particular, in September 2023, a group of specialists of the University of Pardubice are expected to visit ASPU. They will work with families of children with special needs in the educational and social spheres. The results will be published in the next issue of the scientific journal.
Let us add that Araksya Svajyan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Associate Professor at the Chair of Special Pedagogy and Psychology, was among the Armenian delegates who visited the University of Pardubice from 5 to 9 June. She presented viewpoints on the problems and challenges in the field and their possible solutions, which were proposed in inclusive education policy in the Republic of Armenia.
