On March 22, Rector of the Pedagogical University, Professor Srbuhi Gevorgyan hosted Lusine Khachatryan and Varduhi Mkrtchyan, MA students from the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics and the Faculty of Special Education.
Earlier this year, the ASPU students participated in the "Star Trek" project held at Maksim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University (BSPU).
During the meeting with the ASPU rector, the students stressed the importance of participation in international programmes saying they give an opportunity to get acquainted with the educational system of other countries, to compare educational processes, and communicate with foreign students.
Lusine Khachatryan, a Future specialist in special education, thinks programme was informative and educational.
The ASPU students who left for Belarus at the invitation of the Faculty of Arts also had an opportunity to participate in cultural meetings, introduce their Alma Mater which has history of one hundred years and the centuries-old history and culture of their Homeland.
The ASPU rector wondered to what extent the programme met the students’ personal and professional needs. The latter agree that the knowledge obtained at the University allowed them to introduce themselves properly.
While in Belarus, the ASPU students visited several schools, got acquainted with the similarities and differences in organization of education in the two countries under question.
Varduhi Mkrtchyan, a MA student of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, is particularly impressed by the conditions of the Physics Laboratory at BSPU.
Speaking about the peculiarities of the programme, the participants said that the foreign students present themselves to the maximum extent possible. The feedback with lecturers facilitates the process.
ASPU Rector Srbuhi Gevorgyan considered the students' observations valuable. She assured the students that the educational process is organized for students: feedback and opinions on teaching methods and improvement of pedagogical education are invaluable.
The students congratulated the newly elected rector and expressed hope that the University led by the professor, will make great scientific and educational progress.
They gave Srbuhi Gevorgyan the books sent by her colleagues from Maxim Tank State Pedagogical University of Belarus. The books will take their special place in the Academic Library of the University.
