ASPU Rector, Professor Srbuhi Gevorgyan has participated online in an international scientific and practical conference of young educational researchers entitled “Mentoring in Pedagogical and Scientific Activities: Research and Practice."
The scope of the conference organized by Moscow State Psychological and Pedagogical University was wide. It brought together rectors of leading educational institutions and representatives of the scientific community from different countries, including Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Japan, France, Italy, etc.
The aim of the conference was to create a platform for scientific orientation and socialization for young researchers, to develop a prospective model for scientific and pedagogical activity.
The participants presented the results of research carried out in the fields of education, psychology, management, sociology and philosophy in education, preschool education and special education, and dwelt on pedagogical experience and innovation, measurability in education, role of artificial intelligence in the digital age and other issues.
ASPU Rector Srbuhi Gevorgyan on behalf of the University welcomed the conference participants, emphasizing mentors’ role in the context of modern challenges.
She emphasized the importance of the issues raised within the framework of the conference, and stressed the necessity of improving the quality of education, morals, and teachers’ qualities in a period full of negative trends, adding that they interact with the young generation and the future of countries is somehow determined by the transmission of a number of values.
"One of the global challenges in the 21st century is the harmony of faith and knowledge, their synthesis, faith in its main purpose and knowledge aimed at manifesting life to the full. One of the global problems of the future lies in the objective need for unification, convergence, spiritual integration of human societies, overcoming conflicts, separatism and constant confrontation, intellectual and worldview incompatibility,” she said.
The organizers of the international scientific and practical conference of young educational researchers expressed hope that the conference will help strengthen scientific relations and ties of young researchers, raise awareness of scientific and educational development, form mentoring and supervisory relationships, and further emphasize importance of mentors’ role and activity in the scientific and educational field.
