KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Rector of Armenian State Pedagogical University, Ruben Mirzakhanyan, participated in an international forum entitled “25 Years of CIS: Mutual Understanding, Cooperation and Development” which was held in Moscow on 9-10 November.

The event was organized by the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The forum brought together 500 participants from the CIS countries and Russia, representatives of government bodies of the CIS member states, mass media, MPs, figures of culture, science and education.

Over 40 roundtable discussions were held during the two-day conference which focused on integration processes in the CIS countries, development of multilateral humanitarian cooperation in educational, scientific, youth and other sectors.

Specialists believe that the forum enabled the attendees to establish ties with their counterparts from neighboring countries and expand areas of cooperation.
