KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

From January 23 to 30, the Armenian State University of Economics and the Armenian Student Sports Federation held the 12th “Lecturers’ Cup-2024” Intercollegiate Sports Games.

This year, nearly 200 lecturers and employees of 15 Armenian universities put their strengths to the test in 6 sports, including shooting, table tennis, fast chess, basketball throws, badminton and tug-of-war.

Lecturers of the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) have also been participating in the championship for years and have won prizes in different sports. This year, they participated in the shooting competition under the direction of coach Ivan Karapetyan. During the boys’ tournament, lecturer of the Chair of Informatics and its Teaching Methods Vahagn Kharatyan won first place, hitting 49 out of the possible 50 targets and receiving a medal, a certificate and a symbolic award.

By the way, summing up the results of the past year in this sport, the Armenian Student Sports Federation granted an award to the team of the ASPU for its active participation and for winning places for prizes.
