ASPU representatives participate in PROVE project activities

Discussions on the 2nd work package have kicked off as part of the Erasmus+ PROVE project: “Promoting Values Education in South Caucasus Higher Education Institutions” program.

Among the participants from the Armenian State Pedagogical University are Vice-Rector for HR Management and International Cooperation Marianna Harutyunyan; Associate Professor of the Chair of Geography and its Teaching Methods Marine Matosyan; Acting Head of the Chair of Applied Psychology Mariana Avetisyan, as well as Chief Specialist of the Centre for International Cooperation and Project Management Gohar Arakelyan.

Within the scope of the work package, one general course and seven special courses will be developed for students of the partnering universities and one teacher training course will be developed for each teacher.
Six working groups have been set up to carry out the activities, and the action plan for the aforementioned courses will be drafted.

The coordinator of the three-year program is Telavi State University in Tbilisi. The key objective of the project is to enhance values and knowledge education in higher education institutions in the Republic of Armenia and the region. Quantitative and qualitative research will be conducted, and the methods applied by trainers during teaching and learning and the key issues related to approaches will be identified for the purpose of needs assessment.
