The teaching staff and students of the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geography, in collaboration with the Armenia Tree Project (ATP) Charitable Foundation and N127 School after Levon Arisyan, recently carried out voluntary tree planting activity.
They planted 50 flowering shrubs, 30 ash trees and 20 apple trees in the territory of the school. A total of 100 saplings were provided by the organization which is engaged in reforestation, planting of greenery and trees in communities.
Representatives of the Chair of Ecology and Sustainable Development also participated in the tree planting.
“This was not simple tree planting but another step to strengthen ties between schools and the university and promote the development of environmental education. The cooperation will be long-lasting which will contribute to the monitoring conducted by the Faculty and practical implementation of Master's theses,” said Ruzanna Sadoyan, Dean of the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geography.
