ASPU representatives participated in international program

From June 16 to 20, through the Erasmus+ Mobility Program, Universitat Rovira i Virgili (University of Rovira i Virgili) in Spain held the “Artificial Intelligence and Education” international program.

Among the participants from the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) were Margarita Hakobyan and Gohar Nahapetyan, Professors of the Chair of Foreign Language Teaching Methodology and the Chair of Informatics and its Teaching Methods.

The program was initiated by the Network of Methodological Innovations with the Application of AI at the University of Rovira i Virgili.

The aim of the program was to create a dynamic and cooperative platform for the professors and employees of the world’s universities to discover new paths for education with the application of AI, to integrate artificial intelligence in education processes through cutting-edge tools and the best practice, to explore and consider the legal and ethical manifestations of AI in higher education and promote international cooperation through exchange of experience and the establishment of relations.

Among the participants of the international program were nearly 27 participants from 18 countries around the world. They exchanged their experiences, discussed the challenges and the future opportunities in the context of integration of AI in education.

The professors of the ASPU presented the topic of “Artificial Intelligence as a Teaching Assistant: Tools for Informatics and Language Instructors”.

During the visit, the participants of the program also had the opportunity to become familiar with the historical and cultural wealth of the Spanish city of Tarragona, combining educational experience with cultural recognition.
Let us remind that the ASPU collaborated with the University of Rovira i Virgili through the Erasmus+ BOOST Program for Capacity-Building, which helped expand the institutions’ partnership.
