KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

From 7 to 11 April, a delegation of Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) led by Edgar Hovhannisyan, Dean of the Faculty of History and Social Science, was at the University of Maribor (UM), Slovenia, on a working visit.

The ASPU delegation was composed of Samvel Poghosyan, Deputy Dean for Science and International Cooperation of the Faculty of History and Social Science, and Khachatur Stepanyan, Head of the Chair of World History and Its Teaching Methods.

During the visit organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ program, the ASPU representatives held meetings with representatives of the International Relations Office of UM, as well as the head and professors of the Faculty of Arts.

As a result, the parties reached a number of new agreements to deepen cooperation in the scientific and educational sphere.

Also, Slovenian historians and Orientalists gave a public lecture on the history and culture of Armenia for their Armenian colleagues.

Let us add that new mobility projects for HEI students and staff are planned within the framework of the Erasmus+ program. In the near future, ASPU representatives will have the opportunity to publish articles on history in scientific journals included in the Scopus scientific abstract and citation database of the University of Maribor.

At the end of the visit, accompanied by the colleagues from UM, the ASPU delegates visited the historical landmarks of Slovenia.
