KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Kemerovo … A city in Russia that became known to the world in a matter of seconds becoming a center of pain and tragedy after Sunday’s shopping mall fire that killed scores, including an entire class of schoolchildren.

Armenia did not remain indifferent towards the tragedy in the Russian city. Pupils, students and ordinary citizens have been bringing flowers, candles and soft toys to the building of the Russian Embassy in Yerevan for several days.

At the initiative of the Chair of Russian Language of Armenian State Pedagogical University, a group of lecturers and students of the University marched to the Russian Embassy in Armenia to pay tribute to the victims of the tragedy in Kemerovo. The march was joined by Chinese students of ASPU, which proved yet another time that pain and grief unite peoples.
