From June 16 to 19, the delegation of the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) led by ASPU Vice-Rector for HR Management and International Cooperation Marianna Harutyunyan was at the University of Valladolid in Spain.
Through the Erasmus+ T4GREEN Project (Transforming Teacher Education for Green and Digital Transition in Armenia and Moldova), for the purpose of training and exchange of experience, the Faculty of Education and Social Work hosted more than 40 representatives of the Project’s participating universities and organizations from Armenia, Moldova, Czech Republic and Portugal.
As a matter of fact, the Armenian State Pedagogical University is the Coordinator of Erasmus+ T4GREEN (Transforming Teacher Education for Green and Digital Transition in Armenia and Moldova (T4Green).
On the first day of training, the participants were greeted by Vice-Rector of the University of Valladolid for Innovation Teaching and Digital Transformation Susana Álvarez and Director of VirtUVa (Online, Training and Innovation Teaching Center at the University of Valladolid) Ruth Pinedo González.
In her speech, the Project’s Coordinator, ASPU Vice-Rector Marianna Harutyunyan underscored the role of T4GREEN in the development of the educational systems in Armenia and Moldova.
Harutyunyan also expressed her gratitude to the University of Valladolid for hosting the weeklong training at a high level and carrying out the Project effectively.
The first day of the training continued with group work; taking into consideration the fact that the major end result of the Project is review of the programs for STEM, foreign language and special education for green and digital transition, the works carried out in this direction were discussed with the universities.
On the second day of the visit, there was group work with regard to the practical methods for digital and green transition, and this was followed by a lecture devoted to the practice of the “PROMISED” Project.
During the visit, the participants also visited Segovia where the campus of the Faculty of Education of the University of Valladolid is located. The representatives of the University of Segovia shared the best practice in the teacher preparation that is in line with the requirements and developments of the 21st century.
On the last day of training, there were discussions, as well as assessment of the current outcomes of the Project.
The Project’s external assessor Victor Kordas (KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm) presented the results of external assessment of the Project over the past 18 years and made proposals.
The visit ended with a meeting for project coordination (the works carried out over the past months were recapped, and the future actions were planned).
