ASPU representatives visit Italy within the framework of KPI4HE project

From 25 to 28 March, a delegation of Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) led by Vice-Rector for HR Management and International Cooperation Marianna Harutyunyan was at the University of Genoa (UniGe), Italy, for a working visit within the framework of the Erasmus+ ''Establishment of National framework of Key Performance Indicators for good governance and quality towards inclusive, digital and green oriented higher education in Armenia'' (KPI4HE) project.

The ASPU delegation was composed of Hakob Tadevosyan, Advisor to the ASPU Rector, Tigran Mikayelyan, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Sirine Shogheryan, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geography, Lusine Ghulghazaryan, Head of the Chair of Mathematics and Its Teaching Methods, Shushanik Antonyan, Head of the Center for Finance and Economics, Procurement and Supply Management, and marketing specialist Alla Harutyunyan.

The aim of the visit was to get acquainted with the key indicators for  good governance and quality towards inclusive, digital and green oriented higher education, internationalization of universities, institutional research and strategic planning, procedures for aligning them with national KPIs, as well as introduction and application of the Higher Education Management Information System (HEMIS) at the EU partner universities of the Erasmus+ KPI4HE project: the University of Genoa (Italy), University of Oldenburg and Technical University of Dresden (Germany).

The workshop was accompanied by discussions and presentations, with the participation of representatives of partner universities and organizations from Armenia, Italy, and Germany. The National framework of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for higher education (NF-KPI) in Armenia was revised and the NF-KPI directions and key indicators were outlined. marketing specialist Alla Harutyunyan presented ASPU's approaches and proposals regarding NF-KPI in Armenia.

On the last day of the event, a discussion was organized with the participation of representatives of partner organizations, during which the participants focused on the main achievements of the four-day workshop at the University of Genoa and discussed the further activities and deadlines within the framework of the project.

The ASPU official is convinced that the expected results of the program, in particular, establishment of the National framework of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for higher education in Armenia will help increase the efficiency of the higher education system, accreditation and internationalization of universities in Armenia, and will ensure that the characteristics of each university be taken into account during the institutional and program accreditation of the given institution.

While in Italy, ASPU Vice-Rector for HR Management and International Cooperation Marianna Harutyunyan had a working meeting with UniGe representatives Laura Gaggero (Vice-Rector for Research), and Renata Paola Dameri (Vice-Rector for Internationalization).
