Students of Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU), who became winners of the "Best Student 2024" competition, were sent to Georgia for a three-day incentive trip.
While in Tbilisi, the 10 best students of the University got acquainted with Georgian culture and visited a number of historical and cultural sites in the Georgian capital. The group visited Europe Square, the monument to Vakhtang Gorgasali, Metekhi Church in Avlabari, one of the old neighborhoods of Tbilisi, the Cathedral of Saint George (Surb Gevorg) and the tomb of Sayat Nova.
The ASPU students also visited Rike Park, saw the impressive 20-meter-tall statue of Mother Georgia, the Bridge of Peace, the Puppet Theater, Freedom Square, Rustaveli and Leselidze streets, saw the statues of Tamada and Parajanov, the Mantashyants club, and Sioni Cathedral.
They were also hosted in the "Khojivank" Pantheon of Armenian writers and public figures of Tbilisi, Bodbe Monastery - the burial place of Saint Nino, Holy Trinity Cathedral commonly known as Sameba, Svetitskhoveli and Jvari churches, the observation deck near the confluence of the Aragvi and Kura rivers.
The visit was marked by beautiful moments and love confession: Nona Khachatryan, an ASPU student taking a master’s degree course at the Faculty of Special and Inclusive Education, the inner of the 2025 competition organized by the ASPU Student Council, received a marriage proposal in the "the city of love."
As the students said later, not only did the trip become a cultural experience for them, but also a journey full of memories, warmth, smiles, and bright moments.
"The annual "Best Student" competition has an educational nature: it inspires students, makes them engage in science, take initiatives, and become an active member of society," Paruyr Galstyan, Chairman of the ASPU Student Council told old.aspu.am. he added that more competitions will be held in the future and new initiatives and interesting projects are planned for ASPU students in the near future.
