Ten students of Armenian State Pedagogical University visited the University of Oulu in Finland within the framework of Summer School 2018.
During the seven-day programme, the guests were introduced to the rich Finnish culture, visited museums, educational institutions and went sightseeing in Finnish cities. They also had an opportunity to make friends with the programme participants from other countries, get acquainted with their culture and traditions, improve their skills in foreign languages and teach Armenian to their foreign friends.
The students were especially impressed by their visit to Lapland, where they met Santa Claus and gave him letters.
The participants of the Summer School 2018 also visited a Finnish school and the capital of Finland – Helsinki. At the end of the programme, the participants received certificates. During the event organized on the last day of the programme, the ASPU students presented Armenian culture to the audience and treated them to Armenian dishes and wine.
The students say the programme enabled them to make friends with their foreign peers, get familiarized with culture, language, customs and national peculiarities of other countries as well as the educational programmes offered by different countries.
