ASPU students’ charitable performances

A few days ago, students of the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) paid a visit to Kharberd Specialized Children’s Home and the culture house in Mrgavan community. The 1st-year students of the Direction Department of the Faculty of Culture and the 3rd-year students of the Russian Language and Literature Department performed the “Hello, It’s Us” charitable play staged by Professor of the Chair of Direction Aida Hovhannisyan.

There was interaction between the main characters and the children, questions and answers, riddles, rounds of applause, songs and dances during the performance of the play that is based on the fables by Ivan Krilov, and everyone was in a great mood.

First-year student of the Direction Department Asya Hovhannisyan admittedly said that it is a big responsibility for her to perform at Kharberd Specialized Children’s Home. “I am tense, but it’s because of the place where we are performing the play, not because of our performance. We prepared for this performance with great joy, and we were aware of the fact that we are coming to perform for these wonderful children,” she said.

Third-year student of the Russian Language and Literature Department of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Kristia Manukyan added that words can’t describe how they felt and that they received more emotions from the audience than they conveyed to the latter. On behalf of the children of the Specialized Children’s Home, Arman Mkrtchyan assured that they liked the performance and understood the meaning, adding that the students of the ASPU presented everything there is to know about the lives of modern people.

On the same day, the representatives of the Armenian State Pedagogical University also visited the culture house in Mrgavan community where the children enjoyed the performance “Hello, It’s Us” and sang and danced with the students in a packed auditorium.

Head of Mrgavan Administrative District Artak Davtyan extended thanks to Professor Aida Hovhannisyan and granted certificates of appreciation to the students.

The students who performed the play are excited that director of the studio Aida Hovhannisyan provided them with the opportunity to perform and gave them lessons that are necessary in order for them to perform in front of different audiences. The organizers of the charitable performance promise that there will be new performances soon.
