KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

In the light of cooperation of the Pedagogical University and the Oulu University, ten students visited Finland within the scope of the “Summer School” international programme. In this period the participants got familiarized with the country’s educational system, the Finns, foreign students, and made a tour around different educational institutions.

Within the scope of the visit the students of the University after Abovyan stayed at hospitable families for one or two days, after which split into 6 groups made of representatives of various nations started fulfilling the most important mission of the programme. In the whole course of the “Summer School” in Finland the ASPU students where accompanied by the Head of the Internship Department of the Faculty of Education of the Oulu University Vesa –Matti Sarenius and the student of the Pedagogical University Maria Tumanyan, who was at that period continuing her education at the Oulu University.

Educational –cognitive visits, diverse interesting games, discussion lessons around various topics formed the daily schedule of the participants and made it most interesting.

According to the students that went to Finland the trip was quite special not only because of the visits made to country’s picturesque sights, but also due to introduction with new friends and gaining new connections, intercultural communication, and development of foreign languages.
