From September 24 to 28, students of the Faculty of History and Social Science at the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) Nairi Andreasyan, Feliks Bakhchinyan and Anzhelika Petrosyan participated in the 8th “Historical School” international program hosted at the North Ossetian State University named after Kosta Levanovich Khetagurov.
This year, 150 students from 40 countries participated in the humanitarian and educational project that has been implemented since 2020 and is aimed at preserving the historical memory of young researchers and teachers and countering history of fraud.
During these days, the participants had an opportunity to enrich their knowledge about the Great Patriotic War, the economic transformations in Russia, the history of arts and culture, the processes of integration in the south of Russia and preservation of historical and cultural heritage and more through lectures, roundtables, master classes and excursions.
The participants of the program split into groups and developed independent projects devoted to the sublime history education with the support of experienced specialists.
Among the attendees of the solemn closing ceremony was President of the Russian Historical Society Ruslan Gagkuyev, who attached importance to the practice of working together and voiced hope that it will be possible to gather representatives of youth from all corners of the globe in the near future.
During a conversation with old.aspu.am, ASPU student Nairi Andreasyan attached importance to her participation in the program and noted that it provided her with the opportunity to discover the cultural heritage of North Ossetia and other countries participating in the program and make new acquaintances.
