From 21 July to August 3, 8 students of the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) participated in the annual “Summer University” project organized by Ural Federal University. The project was carried out with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Federal State Autonomous Institution “Sociocenter”.
The project brought together more than 300 students from Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, South Ossetia, Moldova, Uzbekistan, India, Vietnam, Serbia, Jordan, South Africa, the Republic of Serbia and Sri Lanka.
It also provided the participants with the unique opportunity to learn about one of Russia’s leading universities (the university has a century-old history and rich traditions), interact with the best specialists of progressive technology companies and the education sector, as well as participate in lectures, debates, youth events, film screenings and athletic events.
During the closing ceremony, Director of the “Summer University” project Yana Vysotskaya voiced hope that the participants were able to immerse themselves in the cultures and languages of different countries and, of course, the hospitality and culture of Ural and gained the knowledge and skills that will help them in the future. “This year’s main trend was the ability to shape a team. You were shaping teams in different formats and during different events; this is truly a very helpful and important skill that you will definitely need in the future,” she said.
The participants of the project also attached importance to the acquisition of skills in teamwork and the ability to avoid conflicts, find common ground and draw the right conclusions.
