Training courses organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ DeSIRe (Development of Soft Skills at Higher Education Institutions of Armenia and Georgia in Compliance with the 21st Century Labour Market Requirements) project continue at Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU). This time, the training featured students from different faculties of the University.
The course was aimed at developing the participants' soft skills, which are key to success in the 21st-century job market.
The course covered four key areas: media literacy and digital literacy, effective decision-making and prioritization skills, creative thinking, emotional and social intelligence. The course was conducted by Raisa Avetyan, Chief Specialist of the Center for International Cooperation and Program Management.
The training also focused on the development of skills in defining priorities and making difficult decisions. the course attendees were introduced to a number of tools and methods which are applied both in personal and work environments, including the Eisenhower, MoSCoW, "For and Against," and "Decision Tree" methods, as well as the Pareto principle.
The participants acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills aimed at developing personal and professional capabilities which meet the demands of the modern labor market.
Practical teaching methods were also used during the meetings, including teamwork, warm-up exercises to activate creative thinking, situational analyses, and active discussions.
The participants presented their observations, discussed opportunities for application in their work environments, and hailed the high level and importance of the training. they said that the methods they were introduced to during the course contributed to the effectiveness of the training and group interaction.
