According to a well-established tradition, students of the ten faculties of Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) have visited the house-museum of Vazgen Sargsyan, a national hero of the Republic of Armenia, military commander (Sparapet) and politician, on the occasion of the latter’s 65th birthday. The group laid flowers at the monument perpetuating the memory of the great Armenian, paid tribute to his memory.
On the occasion of Sparapet's 65th birthday, students bowed flowers to the monument, paying tribute to his memory, and participated in the event dedicated to the day.
The ASPU students walked around the house-museum, got acquainted with the Sparapet’s activity, his personal belongings and historical materials telling about Vazgen Sargsyan. "Every year, on March 5, the Student Council organizes an educational tour to the house-museum to not only impart knowledge to students, but also to instill love and respect for the Homeland,” said Nona Khachatryan, Secretary of the Student Council.
On the way back, the group visited Khor Virap monastery where the students of the Faculty of Philology introduced the group to the history of the monastery complex and answered thier questions.
