The Professor is certain that this sacred task in the scientific-cultural and literary fields will be ongoing and fully hopes that there will worthy persons who will continue.
The editors noted that reading Oshakan requires from one to be serious, have a wide stock of literature and be mentally and intellectually prepared. Abeghyan Institute of Literature at the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, Candidate of Philological Sciences Lilit Seyranyan mentioned that readers now have open access to the novel “Tsak-Ptuk”, adding that in this novel each person will find what he is looking for. “This book is a must for those who have been concerned about the issue of Armenian novels having their worthy place among world novels. Readers need to be ready to go through the labyrinths of all human sins and, most essentially, remain innocent as they flip through the pages of this novel. The precondition for perceiving the novel is that one must not be afraid of seeing and feeling the steep declines and skyward leaps of the soul,” she said.
Professor of the same Chair of Yerevan State University, merited specialist of Diaspora Armenian literature Artsrun Avagyan touched upon the diverse layers of Oshakan’s literature, especially his critiques, and congratulated everyone on the publication of Hakob Oshakan’s “Complete Works”.
