ASPU to cooperate with Investigative Committee of Armenia

A Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) has been signed with the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) within the scope of the 10th anniversary of the formation of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia. Another 8 MoCs have been signed with the Scientific-Educational Institution, which is actively involved in the preparation and training of lawyers and the development of jurisprudence in the country.

The MoC was signed by Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia Argishti Kyaramyan and ASPU Vice-Rector for Education and Science Mariam Ispiryan.

The aim of the MoCs — signed during the scientific conference-seminar entitled “Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia: Realities of the Decade and Prospects for Development — is to establish a more effective format for the legal education and research sector, effective career planning for students and strengthening of their theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as for more targeted use of the intellectual and scientific potential of universities in the programs geared towards the professional development of the Investigative Committee’s investigators.

By the MoC, the Investigative Committee and the ASPU plan to collaborate in the areas of educational and practical internship and the conduct of joint scientific-educational events, become engaged in scientific research programs, as well as conduct seminars and open lessons based on the jointly developed educational and methodical materials, etc.

The participants of the scientific conference emphasized that the cooperation will turn a qualitatively new page in the relations between the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia and scientific and educational institutions.

Let us mention that 3rd year student of the ASPU Faculty of History and Social Science Meri Hayrapetyan also delivered a speech at the scientific conference-seminar entitled “Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia: Realities of the Decade and Prospects for Development”. In her speech entitled “The Special Role of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia in the Modern Law-Enforcement System”, she touched upon the significance and importance of the institution in the maintenance of the country’s security and law-enforcement system.
