ASPU Vice-Rector attends international education fair in Moscow

Mher Melik-Bakhshyan, ASPU Vice-Rector for Education Process Planning and Organization, was included in an Armenian delegation that participated in an international education fair in Moscow from April 13 to 16. The Armenian delegation was headed by Levon Mkrtchyan, Minister of Education and Science of Armenia.
The delegation also included Samvel Harutyunyan, Chairman of the State Committee of Science, and Armen Darbinyan, Rector of Armenian-Russian (Slavonic) University.
Leading educational institutions and renowned international companies were invited to participate in the event.
Talking to old.aspu.am, Mher Melik-Bakhshyan said that on the sidelines of the visit the Armenian delegates held meetings with their Russian colleagues and agreed to organize mutual visits.
Also, Armenia’s Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan reached an agreement with his Abkhazian counterpart on deepening cooperation between the two sides. Under the agreement, Armenian State Pedagogical University will prepare and train teachers who will work at Armenian schools [in Abkhazia].
While in Moscow, Levon Mkrtchyan also attended a meeting of Education Ministers of EEU member countries and made a speech.
At the end of the meeting, Education Ministers of Armenia, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan signed a MoU on the creation of a common learning space.
