The exhibition of the works of Zaruhi Khachatryan, a MA student of the Faculty of Art Education and Chair of the Student Council, was opened at the same Faculty.
The exhibition entitled “At the Crossroads of Creation” includes the student’s works of different years. The student says such exhibitions are a unique way to sum up the creative activity of student years and thank the lecturers for passing their knowledge and love for art to the next generations. The works of her pupils from Dali painting school are exhibited with her own works.
“I’m entering a new phase of life and at the crossroads of creation I have already chosen art,” Zaruhi Khachatryan said adding that she will also continue her pedagogical activity since pedagogy helps self-improvement.
Ara Hakobyan, Dean of the Faculty of Art Education, congratulated Zaruhi Khachatryan, on the occasion of the exhibition. He highly appreciated her works calling her both a professional artist and a student who actively participates in the events of social life.
“Those are two events under the same roof. The student’s works and result of her pedagogical activity are exhibited side by side. One can feel the cleanliness of the child in the works of her pupils which shows that our student is also a successful teacher,” the dean added.
Karen Aghamyan, Head of the Chair of Fine Arts, also congratulated Zaruhi Khachatryan. Although he hasn’t been working at the university for many years, Mr. Aghamyan noticed that the Faculty of Art Education often organizes such exhibitions and other cultural events.
Lems Nersisyan, Professor of the Chair of Fine Arts, hailed Zaruhi Khachatryan’s activity as a student, painter, social activist and researcher. He expressed hope that her research work will be used by painting teachers.
On behalf of the Student Council, SC President Paruyr Galstyan thanked Zaruhi Khachatryan for fruitful work and handed her a certificate of appreciation.
