KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Today, the presentation of a book and CD named “The Song of Your Soul” by the Professor of the Pedagogical University, the RA People’s Artist Hasmik Leyloyan took place.

“This book was created a few years ago, but was published with a little delay. It presents pieces for my performance on the Qanun, and the Piano part is performed by the ASPU Professor of the Chair of Music Arusyak Kostanyan”, mentioned the Professor and added that the book includes 20 world-famous and favourite pieces, as well as works of Armenian composers and folks songs.

Well-known and beloved songs were performed on the Qanun, Kamancheh, Santoor, Shvi, Cello, Duduk, Saxophone, and other musical instruments by Hasmik Leloyan.

In fact, the concert was accompanied by the piano performance by Concertmasters Arusyak Kostanyan and Mari Minasyan.

The professor assured that the pieces created for the Qanun could be performed on various musical instruments and each with individual peculiarity of presentation.

Musical Critic Gohar Shagoyan presented Hasmik Leyloyan’s creative path, her success on the stage and achievements on the international platform, as well as her massive contribution in Armenian music.

The colleagues, art lovers and students congratulated Professor Leyloyan on the presentation of the book and the CD and wished her new accomplishments and success. Likewise, they highly appreciated Hasmik Leyloyan’s contribution in development of the Armenian school of Qanun and assured that she worked with the same dedication both on the sage and in auditoriums.

Besides, Hasmik Leyloyan is also the author of numerous educational and methodological works, she has issued CD’s, she collaborates with the “Zvartnots” Armenian cultural foundation.

The book “The Song of Your Soul” is compiled for educational institutions and concert programmes.
