Today, another 62 certified specialists joined the ranks of numerous pedagogues, and most of them have set the goal to continue working in general education schools.
Vice-Rector of the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) for education and Science Naira Safaryan granted certificates to the alumni of the 30-credit teacher certification program that is carried out through modules providing them with skills in teaching, education and methodologies.
Congratulating the alumni, Naira Safaryan voiced hope that they will start teaching in schools in the future and informed that most of the alumni of the previous three groups (certified specialists) are currently working in schools.
As a merited pedagogue, Naira Safaryan expressed gratitude for making an informed choice and wished the alumni success in the future. She didn’t bid farewell to the young people who passed the 6-month credit course, but informed them that the University will always be in touch with them and will provide potential methodical support to those who work in schools in the future.
“You are doing a very grateful job, and you will see the results of your work years later. Now, your objective is to add shine to the bright eyes of pupils looking at you,” the ASPU Vice-Rector said and listened to the graduates’ opinions and proposals.
Raya Asatryan, who is one of the certified specialists and an alumnus of the Faculty of Philology at Yerevan State University, thanked the Armenian State Pedagogical University and the teachers of the course, highly appreciated the quality and effectiveness of the course and proposed to carry out the practical part of the program in not only high schools, but also basic schools so that the specialists gain work experience in working with different age groups.
Tigran Yeghiazaryan is a teacher at Arshavir Aslanyan Secondary School in Karmrashen village of Aragatsotn Province. Although he is an alumnus of the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics at Yerevan State University, he received fundamental knowledge about teaching in schools during the course organized by the Armenian State Pedagogical University and is more than satisfied with the result.
Alumnus of the same Faculty of Yerevan State University Narek Babayan received his 30-credit certificate today, but has also applied for the Master’s Degree Program at the ASPU in order to enhance his knowledge and obtain a new academic degree.
The 62 future teachers, who are certified specialists, assured that they are leading the Armenian State Pedagogical University with strong and sustainable knowledge and hope to work in schools very soon. As a matter of fact, on the spot, ASPU Vice-Rector Naira Safaryan offered the vacancy of teacher at the ASPU High School-College to certified social science specialists.
